On Sunday 26th January, Australians of all cultures will unite to celebrate our national day.
Willoughby Council will be hosting a free Australia Day celebration at The Concourse – from 9am till 12.30pm.
The celebration begins with an address from the acting Mayor, Cr Mrs Gail Giles-Gidney and Australia Day Ambassador, Mr Iva Davies AM, singer and composer, former frontman of band Icehouse. This will be followed by the welcoming of new Citizens of Willoughby City and then the Citizen of the Year Awards.
The ceremony concludes with performances by the Australia Day Children’s Choir accompanied by the Willoughby Band. Hooper and O’Toole will then take to the stage and perform a selection of Australian Bush classics.
A sausage sizzle will be run by the Rotary Club of Chatswood.
