On Saturday 24th February, come along and celebrate the Year of the Dog in Chatswood, which holds one of the largest Chinese New Year celebrations in Sydney.
Willoughby Council and the Chinese Cultural Centre NSW will host the celebrations, which commence with a Welcome Ceremony at 11.00am. This will be followed by Dragon and Lion Dances in Chatswood Mall.
Markets will also be held in the Mall between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
There’s lots more on the program – such as acrobatics, children’s dances, Chinese music, a Kung Fu performance and much more. Check out the Willoughby Council website for the full list of events.
Willoughby Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney: “May the Year of the Dog bring peace, prosperity and good fortune to all – Kung Hei Fat Choy! Zhōngguó xīn nián kuài lè! Happy Chinese New Year!”
