Willoughby Council is asking locals to become a part of Clean Up Australia Day by grabbing some gloves, grabbing some friends, and joining with thousands of community groups and volunteers in helping to clean up our bushland, coastal areas and parks.
Clean Up Australia Day will be held on Sunday 2nd March from 8am – 4pm. The event is a simple way you can take action to clean up, fix up and conserve our prized Australian environment.
In 2013 an estimated 550,300 volunteers removed 16,150 tonnes of rubbish at 7,341 sites right across the country – but we can do better! So lend a hand on Sunday 2 March 2014 and help clean up Australia.
For information on the local sites being cleaned up, you can contact Willoughby Council officer Tejinder Gill on 9777 1000 or email Tejinder.Gill@willoughby.nsw.gov.au
