Onwards and Upwards benefit for Liam Knight

By Robert McElhone

In January this year, Liam Knight was the victim of a horrific crime, when a two and a half metre metal rod was thrown at an 18th birthday party, penetrating his skull and piercing his brain. Liam’s battle for life began in the ambulance and continued, as the extraordinary skills of the surgeons and medical staff at the Royal North Shore Hospital were put to the ultimate test. Liam suffered life-changing injuries.
