Supporting the Rotary Tree of Joy project

By Robert McElhone

This Christmas, Ray White Chatswood are proud to be involved with the Rotary Tree of Joy project, run by the Rotary Club of Chatswood & Other Local Rotary Clubs.

About Rotary’s Tree of Joy project

Christmas trees are placed in local shopping centres and businesses (like Ray White Chatswood). Cards identify a small gift which will be distributed to a local organisation such as a charity, hospital or nursing home. An invitation is extended to take a card and return it with the appropriate gift. IGA vouchers are purchased from donations that can be made at the Christmas trees or through this website and these will be distributed to families from drought/flood affected rural areas through the NSW Rural Financial and Counselling Service of the Northern, Southern and Central West regions of NSW.

“We sincerely thank the Chatswood Rotarians for their concern and continuing efforts to assist drought affected families suffering financial hardship. The IGA vouchers are indeed a splendid idea and most appreciated by the recipients. Our rural financial counsellors work on the ground with farm families in financial difficulties and are well placed to identify those most in need”.

With the Tree of Joy our aim is to:

  • bring Christmas Cheer to the disadvantaged in both rural and urban areas of NSW
  • work with and meet nice people who exemplify the ideal of service
  • build better communities

Please support the Rotary Tree of Joy project by bringing a small gift to Ray White Chatswood during business hours. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
