NSW Residential Tenancies Top
The NSW Residential Tenancies Act governs the rules by which Landlords, Tenants and Agents must adhere to. A helpful booklet entitled “The Renting Guide” has been published by the NSW Department of Fair Trading. It is a guide to all Tenants, Landlords, and Agents involved in renting residential premises in NSW and explains in simple terms both your rights and responsibilities.
A PDF version of “The Renting Guide” can be downloaded in the English version below.
You’ll be able to easily find everything you need to know before you move in including the costs of renting, how to get repairs done and what to do if you have a problem.
It is important you understand what you are agreeing to before you sign the terms of the Rental Agreement. If you have difficulty reading English, you will need to ask someone who speaks your language to interpret the Agreement for you.
At Ray White Chatswood we provide a full one hour induction at lease signing to ensure that as a tenant you fully understand these obligations.
